Dear Birth Parent(s), Bedtime stories, trips to the zoo, swimming lessons, carving pumpkins, visits with Santa, and on and on. The list is endless. These are just a few of the things we would love to experience with our child. These opportunities combined with the limitless love we have to share, would make for a happy and much loved child. We recognize what a difficult decision this is for you and think you are incredibly courageous for choosing an adoption plan. Our promise to you, should you choose us, is that he or she will always know how special and brave you are to have given us this opportunity. When we were married we knew we wanted children, but after years of no success, we decided to try go a different route. Adoption seemed the best choice for us. Max has one adopted brother and we also have 3 adopted nieces and nephews. We cannot imagine not having them as part of our family - they are so much a part of us. Adoption is truly a blessing to both of our families. We’d like to share a little bit about ourselves with you. We met each other in college. We finished college and went on to pursue careers but still kept in touch. After many years of dating we became engaged on Elizabeth’s birthday. We have now been married for 12 years. We are each others best friends and enjoy spending time together. Some of the hobbies we like doing together are hiking with our two dogs, going to the beach, and spending time with friends and family. We also love to travel and can’t wait to show our child the world. As with most families today, we both work. Max graduated in Engineering and decided he loved working outside, so now he owns his own home building company. He loves the flexibility of his schedule. His hobbies are hunting, motorcycles (or anything mechanical) and working on his parents farm. Elizabeth graduated with a degree in Design and works as a Graphic Designer for a large family oriented company. Her favorite things to do are shop, be outdoors, spend time with friends and family and cook. We both love to watch sports - especially football. Family and friends are extremely important in our lives. Max’s parents live next door to us. He comes from a large family and has 4 brothers and 3 sisters and many nieces and nephews. His parents live on a farm and raise exotic animals, so our child will have the unique opportunity to spend time with llamas, alpacas and much more! Elizabeth’s family lives further away but within a few hours drive. She comes from a smaller family and has two sisters and also has many nieces and nephews. We get together about once a month and talk on the phone almost every day. We are all very close, so being apart is hard. We cherish any time we can spend together and recently all Our home is in a country setting but it is only 10 minutes to a large city. We live in a three bedroom, two-story home that has a very large yard for swing sets and tree houses. We are proud to say we designed and built our home ourselves. We have lots of flowers and a vegetable garden and we can just open our back door and go four wheeling or hiking. We know making the decision to place your child with a loving couple has to be very difficult. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you make this decision. Please know that we have a lot of love to share. Our child will know from day one how much he or she is loved. They will be told how special you are, to have given us the opportunity to love them - and they will always know how much you love them too. Thank you for taking the time to read this. We hope to meet you soon and wish only the best for you. With love, Max & Elizabeth |
