Dear Birth Parent(s), 

We can’t express how deep our appreciation is that you would take time to consider our family in your adoption plan! Words cannot express how grateful we are for your bravery in choosing to birth this tiny blessing. We have had the blessing of parenting for almost three years now, and understand the challenges and beauty in parenting, and we understand the sacrifice you are making for this sweet baby by simply choosing to birth him or her. 

A little piece of our story…

When we first met, we were in our late twenties and genuinely didn’t have marriage on our radar.  After we knew each other about six months we realized that we had an amazing friendship, and our relationship was slowly developing into something greater.  After dating just a few months we realized quickly we were the ones for each other, and Stacy quickly proposed after we were certain this was the direction we should take in our lives. Stacy is quiet the romantic and proposed with different color roses while explaining their meanings, and how they related to our relationship. He, of course, then asked me to marry him, and I answered “Without a doubt, yes!” To which his response about five minutes later was “What did you say?  I could not hear you!” We laughed and laughed that he had no clue whether I accepted or not!  We were finally married in 2004, and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. 

About our family…

Stacy is an engineer at our local power plant and he enjoys doing just about anything outdoors!  He loves to fish, being at our family farm, enjoying the lake, and best of all spending time with family. He truly is a wonderful husband and dad. 

Alisa is a homemaker and enjoys creating just about anything with her hands. Her favorite hobby is cooking and she loves having family and friends over to entertain. She has such a heart to serve others and genuinely takes joy in doing so. Of course her favorite part of home making is being a mom! 

Our daughter Hannah is such a joy and she enjoys just about anything most two and a half year old girls enjoy! You can guarantee on a daily basis she will have a color in her hand, and always be ready to play on our slide and swing set. She is so looking forward to her new baby brother or sister!

Why we want to adopt…

During our courtship we discussed how many children we wanted, and both decided we wanted a large family, and would decide what this would look like as we added additional children.  As time went by no children came after waiting patiently, then times spent in medical offices, and then finally believing we were led to adopt. After we had been waiting on a child for four and half years, the Lord blessed us with our daughter Hannah. Of course no one can explain why then, or if pregnancy can ever happen again. No less, the desire for our family to adopt during our pregnancy with Hannah, and after Hannah’s birth never changed. We knew that our family was still not complete, and we knew that adoption would someday be part of our family’s story. Now, we are eagerly awaiting the next little blessing that God will put in our family. 

What we can offer as parents…

We can’t begin to express the depth of joy we find in being parents! We have thoroughly enjoyed this season of life being filled with play grounds, zoos, story time at the library, and a host of other precious moments that parents have the privilege of doing when spending time with their children. We believe that we have a very healthy marriage, and in turn this quality can facilitate a very healthy self view in our daughter Hannah and other children that we will have the privilege of parenting. 

Also, we think family support is invaluable and we are within 45 minutes of most of all our family. They are so wonderful to help us out any time we need help, and best of all they are a lot of fun to be around. All of them are looking forward to us adding an additional little blessing to our household!   

Finally, we have been blessed with the resources to provide for our children’s educational, emotional, and spiritual needs. We have seen that it is through spending time with children that you truly know what their individual needs are. Providing this time is a top priority of our family!  Every day we have times set aside to investing in these areas of our daughter’s life, even if it is just a game of Candy Land or Chutes and Ladders! We can guarantee that we will do the same for your child if you choose for us to be a part of your adoption plan.

Again we can’t express our admiration for your choice in choosing to birth and make an adoption plan for this precious child. While we do not know the road that you have traveled, we do want you to know that our prayers have been and will continue to be with you. We want you to know if you choose our family we will take such pleasure in speaking highly about your courage and devotion to choose adoption for this precious baby.
