Hello! We are Jeff & Karen and we would like to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. It's difficult to sum up one's life in a few pictures, but we hope this gives you some insight into our family and what we value. We have been trying for years for a baby and have struggled through several infertility treatments. We feel that making the decision to adopt has been one of the best decisions we have ever made. We have accepted infertility as part of God's plan and we are excited about growing our family through adoption. We are blessed to have Jeff's biological daughter, Amber, in our home full time and are ecstatic about the possibility of parenting another child. As prospective adoptive parents we want you to know our commitment to you. We promise to provide a stable, safe, and warm environment full of experiences and opportunities. We also promise to always give you, the biological parent(s), our love, respect, and support.

About Jeff (from Karen): Jeff and I met through Eharmony.com, a somewhat unconventional method. Although our "match" was made based on similar interests and backgrounds, we were still amazed by how much we had in common! We were both raised the same way; our mothers have the same middle name, we love the same foods, vacation spots, etc. I was immediately attracted to his sense of humor, laid back attitude, and compassion for others. Throughout our relationship Jeff has shown me nothing but devotion, love, and respect. He puts my desires before his own and jumps at any opportunity to serve me and Amber. I love seeing Jeff as a father! Jeff and Amber spend a lot of time together playing, wrestling, and laughing. Jeff was raised in a loving Christian home with two hardworking parents. He has one younger brother and maintains a close relationship with his parents and Stephen. Jeff has been employed as a Senior Field Operator at the same industrial plant for nine years.
About Karen (from Jeff): I admit, I was completely smitten when I first met Karen. I couldn't believe how much fun we had together even doing the simplest things. Early on I knew this was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Karen is so caring and always puts the needs of others before hers. She has such a kind heart, a great sense of humor and the amazing ability to make others feel better. Her laugh is one of my favorite sounds. Karen immediately accepted my daughter Amber as her own and is such a wonderful, loving role model for her. She always takes the time to teach her things about cooking, crafts, and ways to help others. Karen enjoys every minute she spends with Amber. Like me, Karen grew up in a very Christ centered family where her father was a Deacon and her mother was a Sunday school teacher. She has a brother, Kevin, who is older by only 11 months! Tragically, her dad passed away in an automobile accident in 2002. They have a very close family and we are so grateful that we live so close together. Karen has worked at a financial institution for the past 13 years.

Amber, eight years old, is bright, friendly, and outgoing. She excels in school and maintains an A/B average. She loves to dress up and pretend she is a famous singer. She participates in church activities, school functions, piano lessons, children's choir and much more. She is so excited about having a baby brother or sister.

We hope this gives you a good idea of who we are as a family and we welcome the opportunity to get to know you better. Please know that we recognize how difficult this decision is for you.
