Getting To Know Us

Our son Camen was adopted early in 2008 from Guatemala. He is a happy energetic little boy who loves books, playing outside, and making people laugh. His new favorite word is “Pfunny!” which he uses often to mean, “You should be laughing…” He lights up a room with his smile and genuine personality.
Camen’s still learning to catch a ball, but he sure can kick one…maybe he’ll play soccer like daddy! He also enjoys playing the piano, just like dad. He likes reading, shopping, and playing on the nature trail with mommy and he can’t seem to get enough of mommy singing. We think Camen will make a great big brother. He tenderly hugs his bear and is quick to offer his baby cousins his toys. He also likes to be mommy’s big helper by going to get a diaper or a hand towel. We know his willingness to lend a hand will be so helpful with a new baby. |

Our family tradition
One special tradition we have is each year we set out a white rose on Camen’s birthday to honor his birthmother. We know the important role she plays in his life and want to recognize her for it. We plan to continue this tradition with each of our children. Another fun tradition we have every December is going to a Christmas tree farm and bring home a live evergreen. We have so many fun memories; sometimes we get to have snowball fights, sometimes we huddle beneath an umbrella, and other times we don’t even need a coat. Afterwards, we bring it home to decorate while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate or tea. Each year we create new and special memories through this fun tradition. |
