Getting To Know Us

How We Met




We met while we both worked in a large office building in downtown Chicago. We worked on the same floor and started chatting at the elevators. When Bill asked Betty if he could walk with her for a while once they got to the lobby and outside the building, Betty was struck by Bill’s kindness. She knew that Bill was someone special and she should take notice. 


We took a trip to Wisconsin. Near the hotel where we stayed, there was a farm with a petting zoo and horses. Pony rides were available for small children. Mateo enjoyed his ride very much. He loves horses, so this was the highlight of his trip.

 

 

 

Why We Will be Great Parents




We have learned so much from parenting our son Mateo. We started out wanting to instill a strong sense of self-esteem and confidence, and we have succeeded. We also are confident in the parenting styles we use with Mateo. He is a very polite, yet outgoing child. We feel like we have a solid foundation for our second child because of our experience with Mateo.

In the winter, we enjoy playing in the snow in our backyard,
as well as going sledding. In this photo, Bill and Mateo enjoy a sled ride down a slope near our home.
