How We Met
 |
We met in 1997 while we were both at a football game in college. We talked to each other nearly the whole night and Dave called to ask Megan on a date 2 days later. He knew Megan loved seafood so he took her to a local seafood restaurant for dinner and we immediately hit it off. Dave, always the romantic, sent Megan flowers at least once/month for the first year we were dating (it helped that he worked at a florist). We dated for nearly 5 years and were married in 2002 after Megan graduated from graduate school. |

Why We Will be Great Parents
| Watching Joseph, our son, laughing and learning is the best reward we could ask for as parents. As corny as it sounds, we love to wake up to the sound of Joseph’s feet shuffling into our room in the morning. Dave looks forward to making breakfast each morning and coming home to play outside after work. Dave is affectionate and patient with Joseph and loves to just be silly. Megan is intuitive of Joseph’s needs and enjoys cooking with Joseph and doing various art projects that Joseph hangs on the walls in his room. Most importantly, we strive to make as many life experiences teachable moments for Joseph. As a lacrosse coach, Dave has several years of experience motivating, teaching and helping kids reach their potential. As a pediatric speech therapist, Megan has several years experience molding children’s behavior, teaching parents how to interact with their kids and helping children learn to have confidence even in the face of difficulty. Together, we feel we are instilling a strong sense of character, confidence and independence in Joseph and we hope to do the same for our second child. |
