Meet our Director

Lore Carvalho

Hello, I’m Lore Carvalho, and I proudly serve as the Director of Adoption Angels. Since beginning my work in adoption in 1990, my career has been guided by a deep passion for supporting birth parents and helping create loving families through adoption. I founded Adoption Angels in 2002 with the mission of bringing as many families together as possible. Over the years, I have been blessed to build a dedicated and compassionate team that shares my commitment to providing the highest level of support, guidance, and preparation to every client we serve.

I have a wonderful family that includes my supportive husband, two talented daughters, one of whom I am incredibly proud to work alongside here at Adoption Angels, and four beautiful grandchildren. I am also a proud great grandmother to two beautiful great granddaughter. I am involved in every aspect of the adoption process and feel honored to walk alongside each family we serve. Being able to continue this work alongside my family and an incredible team is something I am truly grateful for.

Colleen Washington

Director of Social Services

Hi, I’m Colleen Washington, and I am the Director of Social Services at Adoption Angels. I have been a social worker since 2003 and have proudly been part of the Adoption Angels family since 2005. I truly value the opportunity to work closely with adoptive parents and guide them through each step of the adoption process. Over the years, I have had the privilege of witnessing the incredible impact adoption can have on both adoptive and birth parents.

As a mother of three beautiful children, I know how special the gift of parenthood is. My own family was blessed through adoption, which gives me a personal connection to the journey I am honored to share with so many families. It is a privilege to walk alongside adoptive parents as they prepare to welcome a child into their family and to be part of such an important chapter in their lives.

Miriam Marin

Expectant & Birth Parent Counselor

Hi, my name is Miriam Marin, and I am the Expectant and Birth Parent Counselor at Adoption Angels. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies, as well as a Master’s degree in Counseling. I have been working with families and children since 2008 and have proudly been part of the Adoption Angels team since 2011.

My role is to support, guide, and walk alongside expectant and birth parents through every stage of their adoption journey. I feel truly blessed to be part of Adoption Angels, where I have the privilege of working alongside some of the most devoted and compassionate people I know. Being able to provide support during such an important and emotional time in a family’s life is something I never take for granted.

Brittany Carvalho

Director of Operations & Marketing

Hi, I’m Brittany Carvalho, Director of Operations and Marketing at Adoption Angels. I help oversee the many behind-the-scenes details that keep our agency running, including our operations, marketing, advertising, website, and social media. I also work closely with our adoptive families on their profile books, helping them share their stories and give expectant parents a glimpse into their lives.

As a mom and now a grandmother, I know how deeply important family is. Being part of Adoption Angels and having the opportunity to work alongside my mother has been incredibly meaningful to me. I feel blessed to be part of an organization that supports expectant and birth parents while helping adoptive families grow. Although much of my work happens behind the scenes, I am grateful to know that what I do helps support families throughout their adoption journey.
