Our names are Joseph and Brandi. Our journey to becoming a family has been a long one. Very early in our relationship, we knew we wanted a family one day, and we had always envisioned ourselves as parents. We began trying to start our family right after we got married, but infertility issues have prevented us from growing our family. Having been through multiple rounds of fertility treatments with no luck, we decided that the time, money, and emotions we were dedicating to this process could be better spent on another avenue to parenthood: adoption. 


Adoption is an option that I, Brandi, am familiar with. When I was 10 years old, I found out my mom placed my sister for adoption. Many adoptions were closed back then, so, unfortunately, we know nothing about her. While this has been painful for my family, my mother knew she did what was best for her as she was very young and unable to give her the life she felt she deserved. From my experience with adoption and knowing that it’s how we will be growing our family, I can promise that your child will know their adoption story from the beginning. They will know of you, your courage, strength, and the love you have for them. You will never feel the pain of not knowing them or of them not knowing you. 


We promise to provide your child with a loving and nurturing home. We will raise them with the values and morals of putting family first, recognizing and embracing our differences, celebrating our unique journey to becoming a family and celebrating the little things that make us who we are. We have so many loving friends and family members that are supportive and excited to welcome your child into their hearts, and we plan to lean on them for support and guidance along the way.


We have so much love in our lives; we know our lives will be enriched by sharing that love with a child. We hope this book will give you an idea of who we are and what we have to offer your child. Meet Joe

Joe is one of the most open-minded and positive people I know. His love for all genres of music, movies, and games is a great example of his versatility. He is always welcoming and accepting of anyone he meets, without hesitation, noting differences only to cherish them, not to judge. He is also fun-loving, always playing tricks on our friends and making us laugh. His impressions of Disney characters are hilarious, and his facial expressions are priceless. Another thing about Joe is that he loves tattoos and has many of them, each symbolizing different loves and passions in his life.


One of the many reasons I love Joe so much is his ability to roll with any surprise or obstacle and always stay positive. He has a grounding presence that helps me when I feel overwhelmed, and his patience with me and others in our lives is truly admirable. Family and quality time together are his biggest priorities, and he enjoys all kinds of activities. I am beyond excited to watch him become a Dad, as he has already shown such a natural ability to bond and play with our God-Sons and other kids in our lives. Joe is an amazing partner who never hesitates to share the workload for chores and errands and has a way of making anything fun. His reliability and trustworthiness are just a few of the things I adore about him. He is a wonderful husband, and I have no doubt that he will make a fantastic Dad because of his patience, tenderness, and fun personality.

From learning to play a musical instrument, graduating from college, becoming a boss at work, to bonding with our God-Sons, she always gives 100% and never takes the easy way out. I am so grateful to have her in my life.


Brandi is truly an inspiration! She has spoken at many high schools, sharing her experiences and encouraging kids to embrace their uniqueness and speak up about their individual needs. She has a special ability to pick up on the emotional needs of those around her and uses those feelings to help others build their confidence. With her passion and caring nature, she is an inspiring role model, not just for me, but for everyone who knows her. These are the things that are going to make her an amazing mom one day. She is my best friend, and I could not dream of a better partner.

Joe & Brandi - Getting to Know Us

Our Story

I remember the day Joe and I met like it was yesterday. We were both teenagers then and met at a roller-skating rink in 2006. Joe saw me standing by myself and skated over to talk to me. He led with a classic pickup line- “Do you come here often?”

Two days later, we were on our first date. We were both so nervous and excited. While we waited for the movie to start, we played the game Hang Man. I spelt out the words, “ARE YOU GOING TO KISS ME NOW?” Joe smiled and said, “I want it to be special, so not yet.” 

On our third date, he handed me a piece of paper that had a partial Hang Man game started, spelling out “CAN I KISS YOU NOW?”. Of course, I said yes, and we’ve been together ever since.

We moved in together right after high school, and then in 2011, during the 4th of July fireworks, he proposed to me – and I said “yes”!

In 2013, we had planned on having a big wedding in the fall. Unfortunately, a member of our family got sick unexpectedly, and we didn't want them to miss out on our special day. So, on Valentine's Day of that year, we had a small, intimate ceremony at our church with only our immediate family present. Later that year, in November, we had a big vow renewal party with over 200 guests. It was incredible to be able to experience such an important day in two different ways. We cherish our unique story and history and wouldn't change a thing.

Our Home

We absolutely adore our home! When we bought our house in 2020, our dream was to start a family, and we are thrilled to see that dream becoming a reality. Our 2-story home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a dining room, a small attic and basement, and plenty of storage space. The open-concept area on the upper floor is a perfect play space for kids, filled with our collection of board games. The backyard is our little oasis, fenced in and shaded by beautiful trees. We love the in-ground fire pit and the views of our neighbors' nice backyards. During the summer, we enjoy soaking in the small 3-foot-deep pool and can't wait to add some fun toys for our little one. The location of our home is perfect as it is located on a quiet street with very little traffic, and we can walk to a couple of parks nearby. We also love the convenience of being less than 5 minutes away from Brandi's work.


In preparation for the arrival of our newest family member, we were very excited to set up our nursery. The current nursery setup includes a crib, changing table, rocking chair, and dresser. Our theme is Winnie the Pooh, but we had to add a little bit of Star Wars too.

    We have so many fun things in our community that we love and can’t wait to do with our child.

    -   Community pool with zero depth entry, a waterslide, and water play attractions. Soon to be added, a tube waterslide, splash pad, aquatic climbing wall, and an 18-hole mini-golf course.

    -   Children’s Museum and performing arts centers

    -   Sledding hills and an outdoor ice skating rink

    -   Lots of parks with playgrounds and sports fields

    -   Nature Center – 3 minutes away from our home is a beautiful nature center of the river, where families can explore and learn about wildlife.

    -  Farmers market – less than 5 minutes from our home, hosted every weekend all summer long, with entertainment and fresh veggies and flowers.

    -  YMCA – We became members in early 2023 and love all they have to offer.

    Joe's Family

    I feel so grateful to have such a wonderful, big family that I am close to. My Dad and I have a special bond, and we enjoy hunting and fishing together. He is very involved in our lives and can't wait to be “Papa” again. He loves sharing his wisdom and telling fun stories. My Mom and her husband live nearby and have always been there for us anytime we need help or advice. They are excited to help babysit their newest grandchild and provide spiritual guidance as a religious mentor.


    I am the oldest of 3. My sisters are two of my best friends, and we are all protective of each other. They are strong-willed women who will teach a niece how to be a strong woman or a nephew how to treat a lady. My sisters' significant others will be great role models for our child, and my 3 step-siblings and their families are thrilled to welcome a new addition to the family. We have a large supportive extended family, and everyone is eager to meet the newest member of our crew.

    • My family means everything to me. We have a strong bond and love to spend time together. My mom and I are very close. She is over-the-moon about becoming a Grandma and has a lot of plans for spoiling our little one! She is such a kind and fun woman, and will help teach them how to be independent, strong, and fun-loving. As the youngest of 11 siblings, she has tons of experience with children and family, and will be an amazing source of guidance and advice for us as new parents. Her boyfriend is also a great guy who loves to make people laugh, and I'm sure our child will adore him too! My sister and I have always been super close, and I'm thrilled that she and her boyfriend live close by so they can spend lots of time with us and our little one. My sister loves the outdoors and knows everything about plants and wildlife. I'm excited for her to share her knowledge with our kid, and take them on plenty of adventures. Of course, she's also looking forward to telling them plenty of embarrassing stories about me. My father passed away a few years ago, but we keep in contact with his family who live in Texas. They are very supportive of our adoption journey and are excited to be the first family to meet our child since we will be staying with them when we come to Texas. I also have a LOT of cousins, aunts, and uncles on my mom’s side, and they are all excited to welcome a new family member to the bunch! We are particularly close with our great uncle Ray who lives a few hours away. We visit him a few times a year at his cabin.

    • Joe & Brandi - A Look Into Our Life

    Our Fur Babies

    Our three fur babies are excited to welcome our human baby to the family. Our oldest is 13-year-old Leo – he is an orange tabby cat. Leo is very social and cuddly. He loves talking to us and greeting our guests that visit. Leo especially loves kids, following them around and rubbing up against them to get pets. He does not look or act his age, and has a lot of playful energy for an older cat.


    Our dog is a 12-year-old pug mix named Archie. He loves doing tricks (for treats, of course) and is a very calm, mellow, and cuddly lapdog. Whenever children visit our home, he follows them around, too, hoping to get pets and snacks. He is a great protector, and he always sleeps near us at night and only barks if something is wrong or someone is outside.

    Our youngest pet is our girl, Gracie. She is a 2-year-old gray and white cat. She is a little more shy than her brothers when she hears loud noises but is very friendly and loyal to those she trusts. She loves watching birds and playing with her many toys. She likes snuggles and will meow/yell at you if you don’t pet her when she wants.

    • Our closest friends are those that we see at least monthly, and have known for over 15 years. We play games, have food and watch the kids play together. We enjoy ball games, concerts, movies, and bonfires as a group. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends, and they can’t wait to welcome our child into their lives. 


    We also are involved in our church community. We both serve as Board Members at our church and are excited for our child to become a part of this community.

    • Our God Children

    We have four godsons, ages 2, 8, 12, and 18, who we love spending quality time with. We have a lot of fun when they visit and love taking them to fun places in our community, too. They are so excited for us to become parents, and we know they will protect and love our child like a sibling.

We want to thank you for taking the time to look over our photo book.  We are Mark and Julie. We have been together for over 14 years and have always wanted to grow our family. After four long years of infertility struggles, we decided adoption was the way we were going to create our happy family. Our son Gideon joined our family through adoption in 2021, and we hope he will soon have a sibling to play with. We both have siblings and know the wonderful bond that can grow, especially when they are close in age. We are fortunate that Julie can be a stay-at-home mom. Let us begin by introducing ourselves; we are Jamey and Amanda. We live in a rural town in Wisconsin. Jamey and I have been married for 12 years and together for 16 years. From the beginning, starting a family and having children was always in the plans; however, it seemed God's plan for growing our family differed from what we initially thought. We had two miscarriages, and after several years of undiagnosed infertility issues, we chose to grow our family through adoption. In 2018, our family grew through adoption with the birth of our son, Jameson. Then, in 2020, our family grew once more with the birth of our daughter, Poppy. They have both brought so much joy and laughter to our lives. They are close in age and have a great connection and bond. Jameson is an amazing big brother who looks forward to having another younger sibling. While Poppy is young, she will make a great big sister. We both have siblings we are close to and are excited to see the close bond that will develop between the three of them. We are fortunate to have such a supportive family who has been there every step of the way. They have so much love for our children, and they are excited to watch our family grow.     Hello & Thank You , Our names are Jessica and Bryan and we are so grateful for you taking the time to consider us as you make plans for your child and evaluate your options. We pray that you are getting all of the support you need during what we imagine is a very uncertain and difficult time in your life. We may never know what you are experiencing, and we thank you for doing everything you can to think, dream and hope for this baby and their future. We trust that what you decide is right. We have been together for almost 16 years and married for close to 14. As we entered our 10th year together, we started to think seriously about starting a family. After many months of trying, we decided we might need help. In 2019, after more than a year of testing, and waiting, we became pregnant just two weeks before undergoing IUI treatment. Sadly, the pregnancy was not viable, and we lost our angel baby. We prayerfully considered whether it was time to fulfill our dream of adoption, which had always been something we’d wanted in our life even if we were blessed with a biological child. We feel very ready to become parents to a precious child and can’t wait to share our love of family with them. There are also several grandmas, grandpas, aunties, and uncles that are excitedly waiting to welcome a new baby to snuggle. Your child will never have to wonder who is in their corner. We are Benny and Vanessa, a loving couple from Texas who have long dreamed of becoming parents. We have been married for 18 years, and we are more in love than ever. The journey to parenthood has not been without its challenges for us. After trying for several years, we discovered we would likely not be able to have kids of our own. We tried everything – including three IVF treatments that were not successful. We were devastated but knew that God had a plan for our family. Our adoption journey has given us new hope and light in our lives. We love children and cannot imagine going through life without a family.     Hello & Thank You , My name is Kerstin, and I'm so grateful to you for considering me and my son Malakai as a possible match for you and your child. A single person might not have been your first thought for your child, but I have just as much support and love to give as a couple would have - or even more! My life is rich with family, friends, and opportunities. I have a successful career that provides my family with the resources to explore the world and experience new things. I would love the opportunity to share these wonderful experiences with your child. Malakai (Kai for short) was adopted at birth and is two years old. We have an open relationship with his birth mom and often send her pictures and videos. I am open and committed to whatever type of communication you would like. I want you to know that your child will always know their adoption story and the love you have for them. I am happy to answer any questions you have so that you can make the best decision for you and your baby. As you'll see in this profile, I have a deep love and appreciation for all different cultures, and I love to learn about people and places all over the world. Travel has been a big part of my life, and I also appreciate and value diversity close to home. We live on a street with families of many different backgrounds, and the schools and businesses in our neighborhood also reflect that diversity.  I love languages and have studied Spanish and Haitian Creole. The public elementary school closest to our home is a dual immersion bilingual school (Spanish and English). I would love for Malakai and any future child I might have to attend this school because I highly value bilingual language skills and the opportunity to build relationships with classmates and teachers of many different backgrounds.     Hello & Thank You , First, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering us as adoptive parents to your child. We are truly grateful and admire your heart in this difficult decision. We are praying for you and your child. We want you to know that we honor your love and value your thoughts and concerns for your child’s future. Our names are Eugenio (E.R.) and Roseanne. We have been together for 17 years and married for 11 years. Our plans to have children were from the beginning of our relationship. Like the scripture says in Isaiah 55:8-10, God’s plans are not our plans. We were told we could not have children without treatments, so we did IVF. We did 3 rounds of IVF and were excited to get positive results. We lived in joy for a short moment until we suffered a miscarriage. Since that time went back 8 more times to do IVF with our last attempt in 2020, with no positive results. Our hopes and prayers kept us going, and we know that no matter what, we are still seeking and asking through prayers for our family to grow. We have a deep-rooted desire in our hearts to have children, and becoming parents is our dream come true. We are so ready to love a child unconditionally and to know and experience the joy of becoming parents. We both have loving families, friends, and church families who are just as excited as we are to pour love onto a child. They support us in our walk of faith and this journey to extend our family. For us, raising a child will mean showing them we love them daily. Supporting them in every way we can with their hobbies and activities, and most of all, showing them how valuable they are. We plan to always have lots of fun adventures, walking next to them in every moment of their lives.     Hello & Thank You , We want to thank you for taking the time to get to know us. While we cannot imagine the feelings you have or will experience in your decision to create an adoption plan for your child, we hope you feel loved and supported, and we personally want you to know how brave and selfless we think you are. We are Andy and Mandy, and we currently share our home and lives with 2 very different yet equally fun and snuggly doggos, Sophie and Maxx. Andy and I have been married for 8 years and together for just over 20 years. Our early years in our relationship were spent having fun, growing as individuals and as a couple, and then establishing our careers. We knew early into our marriage we wanted a family. We tried for years to grow our family on our own, but through many different tests and treatments, we realized that may not be something we are able to do. Throughout our relationship, we had always been open to adoption; many friends and family have shared their journey with adoption and fostering, so our hearts were always open to this, and we have seen that biology doesn’t define the love and care provided to a child. We can't truly understand the feelings you are experiencing, but we will try our best to be there for you and bring comfort to you in any way possible with God's help. We wear our hearts on our sleeves and hope to show you that through these pages with us, you can find peace knowing your child will have a loving and nurturing home. We are Patrick and Holly, and we have been married for 14 years. After trying to start a family, we quickly discovered that it would be very difficult for us to conceive naturally. After struggling for six years with infertility, we decided that adoption was the next step of our journey in creating a family. We believe all along that God was calling us to adoption. We adopted our son Caleb 2 years ago and are excited to expand our family again. He is truly our rainbow after the storm. People would describe us as genuine, fun, loving, and family-oriented. We will raise your child with Christian beliefs and help them become the person they were made to be by supporting them and helping them find their gifts and talents.
