We always knew that we wanted to become parents, and after learning we were facing infertility, adoption became the path we chose to grow our family. In 2020, we were blessed to adopt our daughter, Hazel. Becoming her parents has brought so much joy into our lives, and we are excited about the possibility of growing our family again and seeing Hazel become a big sister.


If you choose us, we promise to provide your child with a home filled with love, laughter, stability, and support. We will encourage them to be proud of who they are, pursue the things they love, and always know how deeply they are cared for. We have always been open with Hazel about her adoption story, and we would make sure your child grows up knowing their story as well, including the love you have for them and the important place you hold in their life.


We would also welcome the opportunity to get to know you and learn about your hopes for the future. We are open to communication through emails, phone calls, and in-person visits and would want to build a relationship together that respects everyone's comfort level and grows naturally over time.

Meet Alex

Meet Dan

Dan is the most amazing person on the planet. He is everything that I ever wanted in a husband, and our son, Garrett, is so lucky to have him as a father. He is kind, patient, and hard-working. He loves to spend his free time playing with Garrett and teaching him new things. I am 

so proud of the parent he is; Dan was meant to be a father.

Our Story

Alex and I met in high school while he was working at a nearby grocery store. After meeting in the checkout line, we connected again through Facebook and started dating when we were 16 and 17. We have been together ever since. We attended different colleges and learned how to make our relationship work even when we could not see each other often. Those years, along with the three years Alex traveled for work, taught us to value our time together and made our relationship even stronger.


We were married on July 15, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. Our wedding was officiated by a close friend, and we honored loved ones who had passed away with white roses. It was a day filled with laughter, dancing, great food, and the people we love most.



Our marriage continues to grow stronger, and becoming parents to Hazel has been one of the greatest chapters of our story. We love the life we have created together and are excited about the possibility of growing our family and watching Hazel become a big sister.

Meet Hazel

Hazel is a fun, loving, and sassy little girl who brings so much laughter and personality to our family. She loves spending time with her friends and family and has a funny sense of humor. She is always ready to tell a joke, make us laugh, or share exactly what she thinks about something.

Music is a big part of Hazel’s personality. She loves to sing and dance to all kinds of music and often puts on concerts for us at home. She has a big imagination and enjoys playing with her baby dolls, taking care of them, and pretending to be their mommy.


Hazel also has a very caring and affectionate side. She loves being around the people who are important to her and is always excited for time with her cousins, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. She has grown up surrounded by a close family and has so much love to share.



Hazel cannot wait to become a big sister. She talks about having a baby join our family all the time and is already excited about having a little brother or sister to love, play with, and grow up alongside. We know seeing her step into the role of big sister will be such a special part of growing our family.

Our Home

The house we live in was previously owned by Kristen’s grandparents. They completely renovated it when they moved in and filled it with love. It is a ranch-style home with three bedrooms and a finished basement. Downstairs, we have a big playroom and a library where we love spending time reading books.



Our backyard is fenced in with a swing set and plenty of room to play. We also love opening our home to friends and family.

We live in a family-friendly suburb of Kansas City, Missouri, with a great school district and so many activities nearby. There are lots of parks in our area with playgrounds and splash pads, as well as a recreation center just a few minutes from our home with sports courts and a pool. Alex also enjoys taking Hazel fishing at nearby ponds and lakes.



 We love our community and all the opportunities it gives us to spend time together as a family.

Alex's Family

I am the oldest of four children, with two brothers and a sister, and we are a close family who enjoys spending time together. We are fortunate to live near one another and see each other often, whether we are getting together for a meal, spending time outdoors, or celebrating holidays.


My siblings and their spouses are a big part of Hazel’s life. My sister recently welcomed a little girl, and Hazel loves being a big cousin. One of my brothers and his wife even have a monthly “Hazel Day,” when they take her on a special outing to the park, zoo, children’s museum, or somewhere else fun. She always looks forward to their adventures together.



My dad is also very involved in Hazel’s life. He loves taking her fishing, being silly with her, and sharing their similar sense of humor. Seeing the relationships Hazel has with my family has been incredibly special, and everyone is excited to welcome another child to love and make memories with.

Kristen's Family

I come from a close family, and we are fortunate to live near one another and spend a lot of time together. My parents have been married for 41 years and have always been loving and supportive of our family. They are very involved in Hazel’s life and care for her while we are working. Whether they are taking her to the park, swimming, or finding something fun to do around town, she loves her time with Grandma and Grandpa. My mom also loves taking Hazel and her cousins camping in their camper, often around Kansas City or at our family land outside the city.


I lost my older sister a couple of years ago, and I am incredibly thankful for the close relationship we have with her four daughters. Each of my nieces has a special bond with Hazel, especially Eliza, who is close to her age. The two of them are inseparable when they are together.



Hazel is also lucky to have her great-grandma in her life. Family has always been an important part of our lives, and everyone is excited to welcome another child into all of the fun, traditions, and time we share together.

Our Furr Babies

We share our home with three rescue pets: our dog, Sadie, and our cats, Ollie and Charlie. They are very much a part of our family, and Hazel absolutely adores them.


Sadie is a loving lab mix who enjoys running around outside, snuggling with us, and showing off her tricks, especially when treats are involved.


Charlie is gentle, curious, and loves playing with her toy mice and cuddling when the mood strikes her. Ollie is sweet and playful and likes to walk up to us on the couch for a headbutt just to say hello.



Hazel loves playing with all three of them, and they are incredibly sweet and patient with her. Our home wouldn't be the same without them.

We love making memories together and are always looking for something fun to do. We regularly attend baseball games (Go Royals!) and love cheering on the Chiefs! We also spend many weekends at a family friend’s lake house, where we enjoy swimming, boating, and spending time together outside.



We enjoy exploring local coffee shops and farmers markets, shopping, and visiting the zoo. We have season passes to the zoo and love taking Hazel there to see the animals and learn something new with each visit. We are always looking for new places to explore and new experiences to share as a family, and we can't wait to add another child to all of the fun!

Adventure is Calling

Traveling together is one of our favorite things to do, and we love giving Hazel opportunities to experience new places. She has already visited 10 National Parks, and each spring and fall we enjoy exploring new parks and learning about our country’s history along the way. Colorado and Utah have become some of our favorite places to visit.


Every summer, we spend a couple of weeks in Florida enjoying the beach and time with Kristen’s family. Sometimes family friends join us too, giving the kids plenty of time to play, explore, and learn about the ocean together.



We love that traveling gives us time together while also introducing Hazel to new places and experiences. We look forward to continuing these traditions, discovering new places, and sharing those adventures with another child.

Holidays are some of our favorite times because they give us another reason to be together with family. From New Year's and the Fourth of July to Halloween and Christmas, we love celebrating throughout the year and creating fun memories with Hazel.


Halloween is always spent with Kristen's nieces, with all of the kids dressing up and trick-or-treating together. At Christmas, baking is one of our favorite traditions, and Kristen's dad even dresses up as Santa each year for pictures with all of the kids.



We love carrying on traditions from our own childhoods while also creating new ones with Hazel. We look forward to welcoming another child into these celebrations and making even more family traditions together.

Hello & Thank You , First, we want to thank you for taking a look into our lives and reviewing our book. We can’t even begin to understand what you are going through, but we pray that God continues to give you strength and courage through all the emotions you are feeling. We know that you are a selfless woman just by knowing that you are choosing to create an adoption plan for your child. Our names are Jose and Daniella. We met each other in 2014, and we got married in 2016. A year later, we began trying to have a child of our own. After three years of seeing a fertility doctor and seven years of trying different treatments, we were unsuccessful. Jose and I want to expand our family, and we know adoption is the answer to our prayers. We both have siblings we grew up with, and we hope that we are able to add another sibling to expand our love and family in the near future. We want you to know that your child is already loved by so many, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many more family members. We promise to raise your child with unconditional love, provide many life skills, compassion, respect, morals, and provide any education your child dreams of. We also believe in God and would love to raise your child knowing who God is. If you choose us to be part of your adoption plan, we can assure you that we will share your child’s adoption story with them from the very beginning. Our hope in creating this book is that you'll feel the love, laughter, and joy in our daily lives and our adventures, and be able to imagine what a life with us could be like for your child. We have two children, Benjamin and Emerson. After complications from Dani's pregnancy with Emerson that led to a hysterectomy, Dani is no longer able to carry a child. In 2023, we adopted our son, Benjamin, and have an open relationship with his birth family. We are so grateful to his birth family for choosing us and trusting us to raise their child. We are excited to grow our family once again through adoption and are thankful to you for taking the time to get to know us. If you choose us, your child will grow up alongside two sweet and playful big brothers who are curious, energetic, and full of love. Hello & Thank You , Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us and consider us as you explore your options. We know this isn't an easy decision. While we cannot know what you are experiencing, we truly respect the care and thought that goes into creating an adoption plan. We are Douglas and Pamela. We’ve been together for thirteen years and married for nine. Throughout our relationship, we’ve talked about building our family through adoption, and Pamela has known since she was a teen that adoption would likely be the safest way to start a family. While we did spend time hoping to conceive, we later learned that pregnancy would come with significant medical risks, including a very high chance of miscarriage and complications that could affect both her and the baby. After many visits with doctors and thoughtful conversations with each other, we chose adoption as the right path for us. We’re excited to open our hearts, our home, and share everyday moments together as a family! If chosen, your child will be raised in a loving, stable environment where they are deeply cared for and supported. They will grow up knowing their story began with love and care. While we can never fully understand how difficult this decision is or what you are going through, we want you to know that we see your strength, bravery, and selflessness. We have been married for 10 years and have known each other for 14. From the very beginning of our relationship, we knew we wanted to build a family together. About a year into our marriage, we began trying, but faced many challenges and soon started infertility treatments. After many years, tests, and procedures without success, we felt called to pursue adoption, not realizing our greatest gift was yet to come. We met our son, Jude, in March of 2024, and our lives changed in the best possible way. He is the love of our lives and has been surrounded by the love and support of our family, friends, and community from the very beginning. The additional love of the family we gained through his birth parents and birth grandmother has been immeasurable, and we truly feel that it was meant to be. Jude is so ready to be a big brother, and we are thrilled to grow our family through adoption again. Hello & Thank You , We want to begin by saying thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read about our little family and for considering us as you make one of the most selfless and loving decisions imaginable. We cannot fully understand what you are walking through, but we deeply respect your strength, courage, and love for your child. We want you to know that if you choose us, your child will be loved, protected, and supported in every part of their life. They will grow up in a home filled with laughter, fun, and rooted in faith. We believe God is guiding both your journey and ours, and that He will place the right family for you and the right child for us. Our journey to adoption has been shaped by both hope and healing. In 2021, we received an infertility diagnosis, and while that was difficult, it opened our hearts to adoption. We chose not to pursue IVF or fertility treatments, believing our path forward was meant to look different than we first imagined. Shortly after that, we were blessed with becoming pregnant with our daughter, Ryleigh. Becoming her parents has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. Even after having Ryleigh, adoption has remained on our hearts as a calling we cannot ignore. After prayerful consideration, we feel now is the right time to grow our family. Ryleigh has been asking for over a year to be a big sister, and we know she will love and cherish a sibling with her whole heart. Texas holds a very special place in our hearts. When Drew joined the military, Texas was our first duty station. It is filled with both joyful memories and difficult ones, as it is where we received our infertility diagnosis but also where God blessed us with the miracle of Ryleigh. It would mean a great deal to us if your child’s story, which began in Texas, became part of ours. We are open to any level of communication that feels right to you and want this relationship to be guided by what you feel most comfortable with. Family and friends have always been at the heart of who we are, and we are excited to continue growing our family through adoption. We look forward to sharing our love, traditions, adventures, and support with another child as we continue the story God has written for our family. Hello & Thank You , It is so nice to meet you, and thank you for taking the time to get to know us through this glimpse into our lives. We are honored to be considered as part of your journey. While we cannot begin to imagine all that goes into creating an adoption plan, we deeply admire your strength, courage, and love behind such a selfless decision. We are Haylee, Lucas, and Kynzlee. Lucas and I met through mutual friends years ago, and six years ago we were married. From the beginning, we dreamed of having a large family, and that dream began to come true when our amazing daughter, Kynzlee, was born in 2020. Shortly after Kynzlee was born, I experienced health challenges that ultimately resulted in the loss of my fertility. While that was a difficult chapter in our lives, it led us down a path we never expected and opened our hearts to adoption. Looking back, we truly believe it was a blessing in disguise because it has led us to you. Family is at the center of everything we do. We are blessed with large, loving families who play an active role in our lives, and we love spending time together, traveling, and celebrating holidays and special occasions. It is important to us that our children grow up surrounded by love, support, and strong family connections. One of our greatest joys is watching Kynzlee play with her cousins and create memories that will last a lifetime. If chosen, we promise to raise your child with the same love, compassion, empathy, and kindness that we strive to show Kynzlee every day. We believe communication, trust, and unconditional love are the foundation of a happy home, and we want every child in our family to know they are deeply loved, supported, and encouraged to pursue their dreams. Ronnie & Gracie – Texas

Hello & Thank You , Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us as you embark on this journey. Though we could never imagine what you're going through, the courageous, compassionate, and generous spirit you display in pursuing adoption as an option is inspiring. We are Gracie, Ronnie, and Alfie - a young, active, and goofy family of three. We moved to Texas shortly after getting married, and after undergoing years of fertility tests, procedures, and treatments, we knew that adoption is the path that the Lord has chosen for us to grow our family! In 2025, we welcomed our sweet boy into our family through the gift of adoption. We are so excited to see Alfie become a big brother and have a sibling who can walk through life together as best buds. Our home is a place of warmth, love, and laughter, filled with travel adventures, cozy cuddles, and delicious baking. We eagerly pray to welcome another child into this nurturing environment. Gracie is a stay-at-home mom, and Ronnie’s work schedule is very flexible, giving us the most precious gift - tons of quality time together as a family. We are blessed to have close relationships with our family and friends, many of whom we consider to be family. All of our friends have young children as well, and we can’t wait for our children to have built-in best buds! We have been lucky to find everyone in our lives overjoyed for us on this journey of growing our family through adoption. Any child that is welcomed into our home through adoption will be welcomed also into our large extended families with excitement and love. We promise to pray for you and your baby every day. We promise to talk openly about adoption and the selflessness and miracle of how any child comes to be in our family.
