Our Story

We first met when we were just 12 years old. Our families knew each other through mutual friends, and we like to call it fate. Even though we lived in different states, we somehow stayed connected through dial-up internet and long-distance calling cards.

We were best friends, growing up together through all of life’s twists and turns. If you had told me back then that we would be where we are today, I would have thought you were crazy. We started dating in college and spent years doing long distance, flying back and forth to see each other. It wasn’t easy, but we made it work.

In 2016, I moved to Texas. Cody proposed in 2018, and we chose the simplest, most intimate backyard wedding with just the two of us. It was easy, beautiful, and filled with the sweetest memories. In 2019, we celebrated again with a larger wedding in Colorado, surrounded by friends and family, honoring the journey we had shared.



Years later, we look back with overwhelming gratitude for the life we’ve built together. Through every season, we have remained best friends and deeply in love. The life we share today is more than we ever imagined and a gift we are endlessly thankful for.

Liam is our two-pound miracle, born at just 29 weeks. We had a rough start, but from the very beginning, he has been a fighter, and that strength is something we deeply admire. His ability to love anyone and anything is truly incredible. Liam is kind, adventurous, and full of love. He often asks us for another baby, and it’s clear there is nothing he loves more than being a big brother.

Liam adores his dogs and takes pride in helping care for them. We spend much of our time outside enjoying sports, especially baseball, which he loves. He also enjoys traveling, cooking, searching for Pokémon cards or special action figures, and riding his hoverboard.

Kallum is our amazing, sweet, and sensitive little boy. Cute as a button, he absolutely adores spending time with his momma. He loves soccer, being outside, playing in the sandbox, riding his bike, and reading books. Kallum’s gentle nature makes him such a kind and caring little boy, and we know he will be wonderful with a new addition to our family. When we talk to him about a baby, he gets so excited and can’t wait to teach them about “Hulk smash.”



Kallum also loves spending time with his Grammy, Gigi, and his cousins. He came into our lives at exactly the moment our family needed him.

Our Home

We moved into our home when Kallum was a newborn, and we immediately knew it would be the perfect place to raise our kids.

While we both dream of having land someday, we chose our current home because it’s in a wonderful school district. Our home is cozy, clean, and mostly organized, and we love hosting, so we often have friends and family over.



With four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, it was important to us that each of our children has their own room and space to grow, play, and be creative.

We live in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood just minutes from our friends, church, schools, and favorite places to eat. Our community is diverse and offers so much for families, including two community pools, a clubhouse, and a park. We love the sidewalks and safe areas for walks, bike rides, and playing outside.



On the weekends, we enjoy visiting children’s museums, exploring downtown, shopping, going to farmers markets, attending children’s events, or simply relaxing at our local coffee shops.

Cody's Family

My family lives in Texas, and we are very close. I come from a large family where spending time together has always been important. My parents have three children and six grandchildren.

My brother and his wife live nearby and have three kids—two girls and a boy. Even though they travel a lot, we are grateful to have them close and love spending time together. My sister lives farther away but always comes home for major holidays. She works in pharmaceuticals and is married with a young son.



My extended family—including my grandmother, aunts, and uncles—is also very close. They spend a lot of time with our children, and their love and support mean so much to me. My grandmother and uncle made my childhood so special, and those family bonds continue to shape our lives today.

My family is incredibly involved in our lives, and we spend as much time together as possible. Even with some distance between states, you would never know it—we love taking turns traveling to see one another.

My mom works in healthcare and has been my best friend since I was a little girl. She lives on a small piece of land with a pony and a pig, and her backyard is a favorite gathering place for all the children. Gigi absolutely adores her grandkids and spoils them endlessly. She is our biggest supporter and an incredible mother and grandmother.



I am extremely close with my sister, Ashley. She works for the county and is married with two children. They mean the world to both Cody and me, and outside of being parents, being an aunt and uncle is one of our greatest joys.

My dad works for the city and lives nearby. Papa is fun, adventurous, and adored by his grandchildren—especially for his love of four-wheelers, trucks, dirt bikes, and anything with a motor. My cousins, aunts, grandmother, and extended family are also very close, and living nearby allows us to spend lots of time together on weekends, vacations, and holidays.

Our Pups

This is Romeo, our sweet boxer, Neo, our playful Australian mountain doodle, and Benny, our spunky French bulldog. Our fur babies are truly part of our family. They absolutely adore the kids and love being right by our side. When we travel, they travel with us.



Both of our children share such special bonds with the dogs and love walking them, playing with them, and teaching them new tricks. Romeo is our laid-back, loving guy, while Neo and Benny are high-energy and full of personality. Together, they keep our home lively, joyful, and full of love.

The Gift of Friendship 

Our friends truly feel like chosen family, and they mean so much to us. We spend a lot of time together, supporting one another and raising our children as a village, which is incredibly important to me.



One of Brittany’s childhood best friends recently adopted two children just one year apart, and it has been such an amazing journey to watch. We can’t wait for them to share in ours!

From backyard pool days and bike rides to birthdays, weekend trips, and holidays, we are often together. We rotate hosting and celebrating, and our friend group is so excited to welcome a new child into our family.

Say Yes to Adventure 

Family vacations mean a lot to us. Over the past few years, we’ve spent time together exploring places like the Texas coast, Florida’s beaches, and Colorado, which we visit several times a year. The kids especially love the mountains, the snow, and spotting wildlife along the way. Most of our trips are centered around being outdoors—swimming, spending time at the beach, and simply exploring together.



We recently took our first family trip to Disney World, which was such a special experience, and it’s only made us more excited for future adventures. Traveling as a family gives us the chance to slow down, be present with one another, and make memories we’ll always treasure.

We love celebrating all holidays! From fall pumpkin patches and Halloween candy to Santa’s hayrides and Easter bunnies, we make sure to do something special for every occasion. 

Each Thanksgiving and Christmas, we take turns celebrating with both sides of our family. Our gatherings are filled with cookie-making, cooking, laughter, and gift exchanges.

Valentine’s Day is extra special in our home as we take turns leaving hearts on the boys’ doors, each one sharing a reason they are so deeply loved.

Easter is especially meaningful to us as we celebrate one of the most important days of the year. We’ve created a fun tradition of planting jelly beans and “growing” lollipops for the children to discover the next morning, which they absolutely love.

The Fourth of July doubles as a celebration of our nephew’s birthday and is filled with barbecues, time with close friends, grilling, and watching fireworks together.

For us, it doesn’t matter whether it’s a holiday or a birthday—any excuse to be closer as a family is one we embrace wholeheartedly!
