Garot & Carrie – Wisconsin

Hello & Thank You,

Although we haven't met yet, we have been praying for you. We can only begin to imagine the emotion of your situation, and hope that you feel loved and supported no matter where you are on this journey. We respect your strength and your selflessness for considering adoption. We understand that you want what is best for your precious baby, and we do too, whether with you, with us, or with another great family.

We are Carrie and Garot, from Wisconsin, and we are honored to be considered to raise your child. After initially meeting in college, we have been happily married for six years. We were blessed with a pregnancy, but at 23 weeks experienced a rare complication that led to the heartbreaking loss of our daughter and placed Carrie in the ICU for a month. Thankfully, she has fully recovered; however, future pregnancies would still carry the same risk. In 2023, we welcomed our daughter Gianna home through adoption. We look forward to her becoming a big sister in the future and to them being able to share their adoption stories with each other.

We believe adoption is not about finding a child for a family, but more about finding a family for the child. You will always be a part of your child's family, and we will always respect the decisions you make for your child. We want to thank you for considering us to be part of your story and your child's story. We promise that you will be honored, cherished, and celebrated each day of your child's life.

In our home, your child will be loved unconditionally by us, our daughter, our dogs, our families, and our friends. We can't wait to read bedtime stories, visit the zoo, swing on the swings at the park by our home, attend their first recital or sporting event, bring them to their first day of school, and support them throughout all of their accomplishments. It is our goal that your child grows up happy, healthy, kind, and generous.

We have always dreamed of having a large family, and we are looking forward to continuing to grow our family through adoption. We want to thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child!

Sincerely,

Garot & Carrie

Meet Garot

Meet Dan

Dan is the most amazing person on the planet. He is everything that I ever wanted in a husband, and our son, Garrett, is so lucky to have him as a father. He is kind, patient, and hard-working. He loves to spend his free time playing with Garrett and teaching him new things. I am

so proud of the parent he is; Dan was meant to be a father.

Meet Garot

Garot wakes up every day with the mindset that today is going to be a great day. His positivity is contagious. He will find the good in every person or in any situation. He is quick to start up a conversation with a stranger, and within a few minutes, they are talking like good friends. He is generous with his time and his talents to help others and our community, but wants no recognition.

As a Dada, Garot is gentle, nurturing, and playful! He can always get the best belly laugh out of Gianna! He is so hands-on with his approach to parenting and is quick to participate in any activities that Gianna wants to try (music class, swim lessons, trips to the farm with baby animals); he is right there helping her learn and grow. He is our biggest support and the strength of our family.

Garot & Carrie - Getting to Know Us

Our Story

We first met while working at the college recreation center. At the time, sparks didn't exactly fly, but we became good friends. Fast forward about five years after I (Carrie) finished graduate school and moved to town for my dream job. I thought I didn't know anyone here, but a mutual friend reminded me that Garot also lived in the area. I reached out just hoping to reconnect with an old friend and make the move a little easier. Garot swears I was flirting! We agreed to meet for brunch, which turned into dinner because we were having such a great time. By the end of that night, we both knew we had found something special.

On October 13, 2018, we celebrated our wedding day surrounded by family and friends. We were married in Racine, WI, and continued the celebration in Burlington, right along the river. It was a beautiful fall day filled with love, laughter, and joy. Guests enjoyed an incredible charcuterie board before dinner, and later we danced the night away to live music from a band called The Presidents. It was truly the perfect start to our life together.

Meet Gianna

Meet Gianna

Our daughter, Gianna, is a joyful and curious little girl whose bright smile lights up every room. We're committed to creating a safe, loving, and supportive home for her and her future siblings. She loves books, music, dancing, and caring for her baby dolls, showing us every day what a wonderful big sister she will be. She has a spunky side that fills our home with endless laughter.

We've shared Gianna's adoption story with her from the start, speaking openly about her birth family and reminding her how loved she is by so many. We read adoption-themed books together and maintain an open relationship with her birth parents and extended family through photos and life updates.

It is very important to us that we can let Gianna know that we have always kept our promises to her birth family, as it is our promise to you that we will keep our promise to you and your child.

Our Home

Our friendly neighborhood is filled with tree-lined streets, welcoming neighbors of all ages, wooded lots that attract visiting wildlife, and nearby parks for recreation and enjoyment. There are plenty of growing families, and we look forward to watching the kids ride their bikes, trick-or-treating, going sledding in the winter, and watching the neighborhood fireworks from our backyard with Gianna and your child in the future. It's a great neighborhood for raising a family!

Our home is a beautiful three-bedroom, three-bath, open-concept ranch with a large fenced-in backyard. Having a spacious yard for outdoor activities and plenty of room inside for our growing family was very important to us. We look forward to personally decorating a nursery to welcome your child home.

In our home, you'll often find us cooking together in the kitchen, relaxing in the living room, or playing with the dogs in the backyard. It's also common for us to have friends and family over to share in the fun!

Our Community

Our Community

We are an active family who enjoys spending as much time together as possible. We embrace what our state and our community have to offer. One of the best things about living in Wisconsin is experiencing all four seasons. You can often find us visiting local farmers' markets, exploring the wildlife sanctuary, enjoying the zoo, playing at the playground, and attending the summer concert series in the park.

Living in Wisconsin, we are huge Packer fans! Each year, we attend a few home games and enjoy hosting tailgates with family and friends. Grilling brats and burgers has become a tradition for us, and we often hand one out to opposing fans as a small token of welcome. Trust us, there's nothing quite like the energy and atmosphere of Game Day! We also enjoy attending Brewers baseball games and cheering them on whenever we can!

Garot & Carrie - Extended Families

Garot's Family

Garot is the youngest of three children, with two older sisters. Ashley is married to Josh, and together they have two children, Leroy (7 yrs. old) and Lilah (3 yrs. old). We talk to our siblings almost daily and get together as often as possible. They are very supportive of our adoption plans and have fully embraced welcoming Gianna into the family, just as they will your child.

Garot's parents, Scott and Wendi, have been married for 42 years. Their relationship has always been a source of inspiration, showing us the value of commitment and unconditional love. They are incredible grandparents who visit often, celebrate milestones with us, and pour love into every moment spent with their grandchildren.

Carrie's Family

Carrie's Family

Growing up in a large Italian family, Carrie has always been extremely close to her relatives. In fact, if she ever introduced you to her family, you wouldn't be able to tell who was related by blood and who was not, because in her eyes, family is family. That is a value we carry as a couple as well, always prioritizing quality time and making memories with those we love.

Carrie is the third of four children. Her oldest sibling is Nicki, who has one son, Carter (7 yrs. old). Her older brother, Marty, is married to Nancy, and they have one son, Henry (20 mos.), and are expecting a daughter soon. Her younger brother is Joey. Just like Garot's family, Carrie's siblings are fully supportive of our adoption journey and excited to welcome another child into the family.

Carrie's parents, Tony and Judy, have been married for 44 years. They are amazing grandparents who are a constant source of encouragement, love, and support. Whether visiting often or cheering on life's milestones, they have shown what it means to be both dedicated parents and extraordinary grandparents.

Garot & Carrie - A Look Into Our Life

Our Sweet Pups

Carrie has always had a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes. In 2018, we fostered our first puppy and were instantly hooked! There is something so special and rewarding about helping each animal find its perfect home.

That journey led us to rescuing our two loved and very spoiled pups, Lola and Oso, who have fully embraced their roles as big sister and big brother. Lola is a 7-year-old German Shepherd/Carolina Dog mix who loves playing catch and patiently lets Gianna toss the ball to her around the house. Oso is a 6-year-old Golden Retriever mix who is never without a stuffed animal in his mouth. He is gentle, loves to be pet, and happily joins in Gianna's pretend play. Most nights, he can be found curled up in her nursery during bedtime, making sure he is close by.

Both Lola and Oso earned their Canine Good Citizen certificates, which basically means that it is not just us who thinks our dogs are great! They adore Gianna and are extremely gentle and patient with her. Their favorite treats are ice cream cones, and they never let a single crumb from the highchair go to waste.

Adventure Awaits

Traveling and exploring new places is something we truly love. Whether we are checking out something new in our city, taking a road trip across the state, or flying across the world, we love the adventure of discovering new places together. Travel gives us the chance to appreciate something new and helps us see the world from different perspectives. Some of our adventures have taken us to Boston, San Diego, Washington D.C., Nashville, San Francisco, Chicago, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand. We look forward to sharing this love of travel with our children, creating memories along the way, and giving them the chance to experience new people, cultures, and traditions.

Summer's Up North

Each summer, we go up north with Garot's side of the family, who rent a lake house for a week. This week is filled with boat rides, campfires, swimming, fishing, cooking out, and ice cream (AKA Cream Crawls!). Being unplugged from technology for a week with family allows us to enjoy each other's company and continue to build great relationships, especially when spending time together with the cousins.

Family Traditions

Family Traditions

With close relationships to both our families and many friends, we enjoy many traditions throughout the year that bring everyone together and we can’t wait to share them with your child.

Carrie’s family always celebrates birthdays with a homemade cake, a tradition her mom started and Nana now carries on for the grandkids, including Gianna’s special strawberry smash cake.

For Halloween, we love dressing up in matching costumes and joining friends and family for trick-or-treating and festive fun.

Our Christmas season begins with a trip to the tree farm, decorating with music and cookies, and enjoying the Garden of Lights with Garot’s family. Christmas Eve is spent at church and celebrating with his family, while Christmas Day is brunch and gifts with Carrie’s. Since Gianna joined us, we’ve added choosing a new ornament each year and look forward to creating even more traditions as our family grows.

We ring in each New Year with close friends, sharing dinner, games, and reflections on the past year, a special time for both kids and adults alike.

Hello & Thank You , First, we want to thank you for taking a look into our lives and reviewing our book. We can’t even begin to understand what you are going through, but we pray that God continues to give you strength and courage through all the emotions you are feeling. We know that you are a selfless woman just by knowing that you are choosing to create an adoption plan for your child. Our names are Jose and Daniella. We met each other in 2014, and we got married in 2016. A year later, we began trying to have a child of our own. After three years of seeing a fertility doctor and seven years of trying different treatments, we were unsuccessful. Jose and I want to expand our family, and we know adoption is the answer to our prayers. We both have siblings we grew up with, and we hope that we are able to add another sibling to expand our love and family in the near future. We want you to know that your child is already loved by so many, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many more family members. We promise to raise your child with unconditional love, provide many life skills, compassion, respect, morals, and provide any education your child dreams of. We also believe in God and would love to raise your child knowing who God is. If you choose us to be part of your adoption plan, we can assure you that we will share your child’s adoption story with them from the very beginning. We will celebrate the love you have for them and honor the decision you made. Thank you once again for this opportunity to get to know us. This process has been one we prayed and cried about, as having a family of our own has been a difficult journey for us both. As you glance through our book, we pray that you see the love we share with each other, our families, our faith, and the joy we have for the future journey we have prayed about. Whichever decision you make, we want you to know that you will forever be in our prayers. Sincerely, Jose & Daniella

Hello & Thank You , We are Chelsea and Nick, and we are truly honored and grateful that you are considering us as potential adoptive parents for your child. We want to acknowledge the immense courage and strength it takes to choose adoption, and we deeply appreciate the thought and care you are giving to this decision. Our journey to adoption has been deeply personal. While we have faced struggles with infertility, our desire to adopt began long before we were married. Growing up, Chelsea was surrounded by adoption. Two of her siblings, her aunt, and her uncle were all adopted, so building a family this way has always felt natural to her. Our faith in God plays a central role in our lives, guiding us to love, serve, and trust His plan. Adoption reflects the love and grace we believe He has shown us, and it is a path we hold very dear. After facing challenges and experiencing a loss, we were so blessed to welcome our daughter, Sofia, into our lives through adoption. She is everything to us, our little miracle and a daily reminder that love and hope can turn any hardship into something beautiful. For us, adoption represents not only the joy and love of expanding our family but also the incredible strength and love of parents like you who make this choice. We are surrounded by family and friends who have embraced our journey and who share in our joy and commitment to providing a nurturing and supportive home. As parents, we hope to offer a child a home where they will feel cherished and encouraged to grow, celebrate their uniqueness, and pursue their dreams in every way possible. Should we be chosen, we want your child to always know how special, wanted, and deeply loved they are—not only by our family and us but also by you. We want you to know that you will always hold a meaningful and cherished place in their life and in our family. Please know that your decision, whatever it may be, is honored and supported. Thank you for considering us as potential adoptive parents and for the hope you bring to families like ours. Please know that you are in our prayers. With heartfelt appreciation, Nick & Chelsea

Hello & Thank You , We are Dani, Joe, Emerson, and Benjamin. Nice to meet you! We are so grateful to you for taking the time to get to know us a little better. We realize you may be feeling many different emotions at this time, and we want you to know that we will be supportive of you and your child. We will care about you, too. Our hope in creating this book is that you'll feel the love, laughter, and joy in our daily lives and our adventures, and be able to imagine what a life with us could be like for your child. We have two children, Benjamin and Emerson. After complications from Dani's pregnancy with Emerson that led to a hysterectomy, Dani is no longer able to carry a child. In 2023, we adopted our son, Benjamin, and have an open relationship with his birth family. We are so grateful to his birth family for choosing us and trusting us to raise their child. We are excited to grow our family once again through adoption and are thankful to you for taking the time to get to know us. If you choose us, your child will grow up alongside two sweet and playful big brothers who are curious, energetic, and full of love. They will also have a gentle golden retriever nearby for snuggles and games of fetch. Our home is filled with laughter and connection, and we are intentional about creating a space where our children feel secure, encouraged, and deeply loved. We acknowledge that you have a very important role in your child’s life, and we would like to have an open adoption so that your child will know their story. It is important to us that we honor your wishes regarding the level of openness you would like in your child’s life. We will keep the promises we make together and always put your child’s needs at the center of our decisions. We both value kindness, curiosity, humor, and a love of learning, and we strive to model those values every day. We want our children to grow up feeling unconditionally loved, seen, heard, and supported. Even when life feels challenging, we face it together and always put our kids first. We are so excited to grow our family through adoption and would be honored to give your child that same love and support. Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We would truly love to get to know you. With Love, Joe & Dani

Hello & Thank You , Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us and consider us as you explore your options. We know this isn't an easy decision. While we cannot know what you are experiencing, we truly respect the care and thought that goes into creating an adoption plan. We are Douglas and Pamela. We’ve been together for thirteen years and married for nine. Throughout our relationship, we’ve talked about building our family through adoption, and Pamela has known since she was a teen that adoption would likely be the safest way to start a family. While we did spend time hoping to conceive, we later learned that pregnancy would come with significant medical risks, including a very high chance of miscarriage and complications that could affect both her and the baby. After many visits with doctors and thoughtful conversations with each other, we chose adoption as the right path for us. We’re excited to open our hearts, our home, and share everyday moments together as a family! If chosen, your child will be raised in a loving, stable environment where they are deeply cared for and supported. They will grow up knowing their story began with love and care. We will always speak of you with respect and gratitude. Thank you again for considering us as adoptive parents for your child. Whatever you decide, we wish you peace, support, and kindness as you move forward. Sincerely, Douglas & Pamela

Hello & Thank You , From the very beginning, we want you to know you are seen and valued. We can’t imagine the strength it takes to walk this journey, and we truly admire your courage. As it says in Isaiah 41:10, “Do not fear for I am with you. I will strengthen you and help you.” We pray you feel that promise wrapped around you. That you are not alone, that you are supported and that God’s strength is carrying you through each step. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. It feels hard to put into words how much love and gratitude we already feel as we write this. Our names are Abbey and Jesus, and we live in Texas with our two dogs, Drax and Willow. Little did we know that a simple haircut would be the start of our lifelong adventure together. We have been together for eight years and married for almost 5 years. From that day forward, we built a life full of love, laughter, and faith. Every step has brought us closer, and now our hearts are ready to welcome a child with the same care and devotion we’ve poured into each other. We later found out that we could not have biological children due to infertility issues. While that news was difficult, it only strengthens what we already knew in our hearts that we wanted to be parents and share all the love we have to give. Adoption felt like the path God was leading us toward, and it has been calling to us ever since. We are so excited to open our hearts and home to your child. We promise they will always feel safe, loved, cared for, and supported. We believe it is important for your child to understand their adoption story and to grow up knowing how deeply loved by everyone involved. The relationship between a child and their birth family is significant, and we strongly support an open adoption. However comfortable you are, we would truly welcome you to be a part of their life. Thank you for opening your heart to read our story. No matter what you decide, we wish you peace, comfort, and endless love for you and your child. With love and gratitude, Jesus & Abbey

Hello & Thank You , We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to learn about who we are, and we are honored and humbled that you would consider us to adopt your child. While we can never fully understand how difficult this decision is or what you are going through, we want you to know that we see your strength, bravery, and selflessness. We will make sure your child grows up knowing that, and feeling proud of their story and where they come from. We are committed to being open and honest every step of the way. We are Andy and Katie. We have been married for 10 years and have known each other for 14. From the very beginning of our relationship, we knew we wanted to build a family together. About a year into our marriage, we began trying, but faced many challenges and soon started infertility treatments. After many years, tests, and procedures without success, we felt called to pursue adoption, not realizing our greatest gift was yet to come. We met our son, Jude, in March of 2024, and our lives changed in the best possible way. He is the love of our lives and has been surrounded by the love and support of our family, friends, and community from the very beginning. The additional love of the family we gained through his birth parents and birth grandmother has been immeasurable, and we truly feel that it was meant to be. Jude is so ready to be a big brother, and we are thrilled to grow our family through adoption again. When it comes to raising your child, we promise to surround them with love, from us and from the many people who support us. We will teach them to lead with empathy, kindness, and respect for others. We promise a life filled with joy, laughter, cuddles, storytimes, music, and adventure. We will be their biggest advocate. Most of all, we promise to always be open and honest, sharing their story with them and helping them feel proud of who they are. We are so grateful for you and hope our profile gives you a glimpse into our lives and helps you feel a sense of comfort in what lies ahead. We would be honored to learn more about you and walk this journey alongside you, whenever and if you feel ready. With gratitude and love, Andy & Katie

Hello & Thank You , We know your mind is probably running a million miles a minute right now, so we're grateful you're taking a moment to read this. Before we say anything else, thank you. Not for any decision you have or haven't made, but simply for the love that's clearly driving every step you're taking. The love it takes to be in this moment... to put your child's future above everything else... is something we deeply admire. Now, the introductions. We're Josh and Iffy, married for 6 years and residing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with our little household zoo (three cats and one very outnumbered dog). We are, at our core, a team, and becoming parents together has been our dream. Our road here hasn't been without heartbreak. We've faced years of infertility and the grief of multiple miscarriages. Those losses changed us, and in some ways they led us here to you, to this child, to this path. We don't see adoption as a last resort. We see it as exactly where we were always meant to end up. If you choose us, we promise that your child will always know their story. Where they came from, and the extraordinary love that surrounded them from the very beginning... including yours. Your baby would be coming home to a place full of warmth, curiosity, laughter, and love. They would grow up knowing they were chosen, not because they had to be, but because we wanted them more than we can say. Thank you for considering us. Thank you for your courage, your love, and for reading these words. We are rooting for you, and we are so hopeful for what the future holds for all of us. With so much love, Josh & Iffy

Hello & Thank You , Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and for considering us as a family to raise your child. Your love for your child is already evident, and we honor the strength it takes to make decisions rooted in that love. We can only imagine how overwhelming this process may feel, and we deeply respect the courage, love, and care you are showing. Please know we are thinking of you and praying for you as you navigate this journey, no matter what you decide. We are incredibly grateful and excited to be growing our family through adoption after a long journey with infertility and loss. For three years, we pursued fertility treatments and experienced seven early miscarriages. During that time, God began to give us a clear vision for how we would build our family. While our season of infertility was painful, it also strengthened our marriage, deepened our communication, and helped us grow in patience, faith, and trust in God’s timing. It prepared us spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially for adoption. In March of 2024, we adopted our son, Dawson, from birth and were blessed to be by his birth mother’s side when he was born. We continue to share updates and photos with her today. We want you to know your child will be raised in a home filled with love, honesty, warmth, and support. We believe in teaching values such as respect, integrity, faith, and compassion, and we strive to make everyday moments meaningful as a family. Our home is a place where people feel welcomed, safe, and deeply cared for. We will always honor the level of openness you choose and deeply respect the trust and sacrifice involved in this decision. Our hope is that, through this book, you can see the love we have for each other, our son, our families, our friends, our pets, and the child we hope to welcome. We are truly grateful for your consideration of us as adoptive parents. We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers, no matter what path you choose. With love, David & Lindsey

Hello & Thank You , We want to begin by saying thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read about our little family and for considering us as you make one of the most selfless and loving decisions imaginable. We cannot fully understand what you are walking through, but we deeply respect your strength, courage, and love for your child. We want you to know that if you choose us, your child will be loved, protected, and supported in every part of their life. They will grow up in a home filled with laughter, fun, and rooted in faith. We believe God is guiding both your journey and ours, and that He will place the right family for you and the right child for us. Our journey to adoption has been shaped by both hope and healing. In 2021, we received an infertility diagnosis, and while that was difficult, it opened our hearts to adoption. We chose not to pursue IVF or fertility treatments, believing our path forward was meant to look different than we first imagined. Shortly after that, we were blessed with becoming pregnant with our daughter, Ryleigh. Becoming her parents has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. Even after having Ryleigh, adoption has remained on our hearts as a calling we cannot ignore. After prayerful consideration, we feel now is the right time to grow our family. Ryleigh has been asking for over a year to be a big sister, and we know she will love and cherish a sibling with her whole heart. Texas holds a very special place in our hearts. When Drew joined the military, Texas was our first duty station. It is filled with both joyful memories and difficult ones, as it is where we received our infertility diagnosis but also where God blessed us with the miracle of Ryleigh. It would mean a great deal to us if your child’s story, which began in Texas, became part of ours. We are open to any level of communication that feels right to you and want this relationship to be guided by what you feel most comfortable with. Family and friends have always been at the heart of who we are, and we are excited to continue growing our family through adoption. We look forward to sharing our love, traditions, adventures, and support with another child as we continue the story God has written for our family. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers as you make this decision. We respect you deeply and trust that your child will be surrounded by love and cared for in the way they deserve, no matter what you choose. Thank you again for considering us and for taking the time to learn about our family. We are honored to be part of your journey in any way. With love, Drew & Emily
